Why we love this venue
The recently refurbished, elegantly furnished accommodation combined with plenty of room for a marquee if needed, and a ready-made covered dancefloor and bar.
More original features and aching charm than you can shake a stick at. Ask about the bbq hut, it's perfect for a cosy pile-in after a big party. The easy reach of the A55 make Tal Y Bont the Swiss army knife of venues and completely unique. We’d honestly recommend it for anything.

Words from the owner
Tell us some of the history of Tal Y Bont Uchaf? It dates back to 1840, when it was built as part of Penrhyn Castle estate. It's a fantastic old building with so much character, so when it came to decorating it, it had to be vintage things with a story. I sourced everything over the course of a year from local antiques shops. The old double height threshing barn is now the best party room... But it's an eco farm now too, with a ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting and solar panels, so we've modernised the things that matter!
What's your favourite part of the property? There's a cracking sunset from the decked wedding platform next to the barbecue hut, it's the best spot for a cocktail. But I also love watching the sun rise over the mountains from just outside the kitchen, we often have breakfast out there, it's glorious.
What’s your favourite time of year here? Christmas is sooo cosy, I love it; piling into the threshing barn with the open fire on and having a party. But spring is lovely too, as the garden is so established, so it bursts with colour, and we grow tons of vegetables.
Does the farm still have animals? We are very dog-friendly! But there are also chickens and ducks and even our eight peregrine falcons to enjoy. They're a great spectacle between speeches or before the dinner starts at a wedding, they're quite the party girls!
