Moel Famau View promises just that, a spectacular venue in the AONB of the Cwyldian Range in North-East Wales, with second-to-none views up to the Jubilee Tower at Moel Famau’s summit. Sitting just a few miles outside Ruthin, the land at Berth Cottage basks in the vale of these ancient hills, and as the sun sets, the Scotch pines around the venue turn a deep fiery red.
Featuring a courtyard with former stables and a Grade II listed 17th century ruined manor, Moel Famau View is a fantastic location filled with light and personality, a pretty and spacious canvas upon which to build your dream event.
Whatever your needs, you won’t be disappointed with the situation and the amount of light and views available.

Why we love this venue
The history, versatility and charm of the place and its position, just 24 miles from Chester and 3 miles from Ruthin, but you’re in a rural idyll with acres of space and an incredible light show across the hills and trees that you'll see in the gallery.
The rather romantic Ivy Barn was likely the original country manor house of the Lloyd family, first registered in Berth in 1620.
A spectacular hill view and the opportunity to walk in centuries-old footsteps, what more could you want?

Words from the owner
Where is the light best? I love it when the pines light up like they're on fire with a red sunset, it's really quite extraordinary.
Where’s the best spot to have a gin and tonic? If you have the energy, the top of Moel Famau!
What’s your favourite memory of the place? I grew up around here and my family farmed the surrounding land, and I moved back recently because I missed the hills so much. So I suppose they're my favourite memory!
